POSITION PURPOSE
 
The AVP of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the credit union’s products and services. This role involves leading a team, managing marketing campaigns, and ensuring alignment with the credit union’s overall goals and objectives.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
 
  1. Strategic Planning:
    1. Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and member acquisition.
    2. Collaborate with senior management to align marketing initiatives with business objectives.
  2. Team Leadership:
    1. Lead, mentor, and manage the marketing team, providing guidance and support.
    2. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  3. Campaign Management:
    1. Oversee the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, print, social media, etc.).
    2. Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
  4. Digital Marketing:
    1. Develop and manage digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media.
    2. Optimize the credit union’s online presence and member engagement.
  5. Content Creation:
    1. Oversee the development of marketing content, including blogs, newsletters, and promotional materials.
    2. Ensure consistent brand messaging across all platforms.
  6. Market Research:
    1. Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and member needs.
    2. Analyze competitive landscape and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
  7. Budget Management:
    1. Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
    2. Track and report on marketing expenditures and ROI.
    3. Manage and utilize vendors as appropriate to effectively launch campaigns and get maximum impact from annual budget.
  8. Partnerships and Collaboration:
    1. Work with external vendors, agencies, and partners to execute marketing initiatives.
    2. Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.
    3. Completes special projects as assigned.
  9. Compliance:
  10. Ensure all marketing activities comply with regulatory requirements and credit union policies.
 

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
 
  1. Marketing functions are efficient, effective, and delivered in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures.
  2. Marketing programs are regularly reviewed and revised as needed.  Marketing activities effectively complement and support Credit Union strategies and goals.
  3. Marketing functions are well coordinated with branches and related departments.  Assistance is provided as needed.
  4. Marketing personnel are effective, efficient, and optimally utilized.  Good communication exists with area personnel.
  5. Senior management is appropriately informed of Marketing activities and of any significant concerns or needed adjustments.  Suggestions for improved efficiency or effectiveness are provided.  Required reports and records are accurate and timely.
  6. Marketing budget is communicated to upper management and adhered to once approved by upper management.
  7. The Credit Union's professional reputation is maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.                                                (Masters preferred)

Experience Required:               5+ years of marketing and leadership/management experience
                        Extensive experience with digital marketing, campaign management                                                        and creative content creation

Skills/Abilities:                           Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
                                                Proven leadership and team management skills
                                                Ability to plan, develop, & implement marketing programs for various                                                      audiences
                                                Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
                                                Strong analytical and project management abilities.
                                                Experience partnering with senior business leadership to drive and                                                        deliver results
                                                Highly proficient in digital marketing tools and platforms.
                                                Creativity and innovation.
                                                Data analysis and interpretation.
                                                Demonstrates successful track record in building and maintaining                                                          strong relationships at all levels of the organizations
